Just Another Bite.

White beans, onion, garlic, ginger, turmeric, olive oil and jalapeno.
Just when I thought I was completely and totally tired of tasting even one more bite of Ethiopian wot, this happened. It was actually refreshing. Not in the watermelon doused in wasabi kind of way, but in a garlicky white bean doused in olive oil and turmeric kind of way.

My toes are AOK, that's just peeling Zoya.
Instead of having a bowlful, I saved my appetite for a celebratory dinner out with friends at Miho. The watermelon doused in wasabi refreshment really did happen. I love Miho, I have no idea why we don't eat there all the time.

    1. Yes, this is really similar to kik allecha! The jalapeno was from my garden, and it was really not very spicy. I guess I watered too much this summer?

  3. Watermelon doused in wasabi? What an interesting combination of flavors! I'd like to try that. I'd also like to try a big bowlful of your wot, because garlicky white bean doused in olive oil and turmeric is my kind of refreshing! :)

  7. Yeah what Glue and Glitter said. I am becoming quite fond of blue and yellow, and of course Zoya. My favorite flavors made it into your soup.

  9. Oh my. White beans, garlic, olive oil and turmeric? You are speaking my language. The color is lovely and I can almost smell it from here.
