I Dream of Balls.

Bakela Dinnich Wot. Anyone know the word for soy in Amharic? Bakela means bean, so it's not a very good translation.
Straight outta Papa Tofu Loves Ethiopian Food, I didn't make too many tweaks to it at all, just adjusted some cooking times and fiddled with the spice amounts a wee bit.

This dish is Soy Curls in a spicy gravy with caramelized onions and roasted baby potatoes. Bet it would be good with balls, too. I was thinking since I like to eat this dish with avocado, I should melon ball some and put 'em on top. Such a cute dish it would be with balls and potato balls and avo balls.

This dish works with seitan too, if you do those and you don't do soy or Soy Curls.

  4. This looks great - I'm trying to remember if I've made it or not, since at one point I think I cooked my way through... of course mine looked NOTHING like this deliciousness I'm sure - hahahah!

  5. Ball-tastic. I haven't made this one yet, which is very silly of me.
