I am Juicy.

Juice happy.
I'm juicing again this week, I'm trying to juice for a few days every 4-6 weeks or so.  We'll see if I can keep this up once the weather gets chillier.

The juices were all SO GOOD today--sometimes I have trouble when I get to the beet, but if it's pulp free, I like it lots.  The green were especially great and just a tad salty, but the pineapple is my favorite.  Fresh pineapple, apple and mint blended together is probably one of the most delicious elixirs on Earth.

All the good stuff settles to the bottom, so shake-shake-shake.
These juices are meant to be a Blueprint Cleanse hack.  Basically, there are six 16oz drinks that you spread out through the day.  Two green juices, pineapple-mint,  spicy lemonade (I accidentally used chipotle today--that was a little surprise), carrot-beet, and something akin to a cashew horchata.

Beat manicure.
I really like the order of the juices, the way they change throughout the day and their tastiness levels.  The cinnamon cashew milk at the end of the day seals the deal, 'cuz it's seriously dreamy-creamy.

  1. Oh, that cinnamon cashew milk does sound creamy-dreamy. I like to end my day with steamed almond milk, so I think I'd be experiencing a bit of heaven with that cinnamon cashew milk.

Can I say, too, I'm so impressed with all your juicing. That is a LOT of work. I love all the lovely flavors & colors.

    1. Aw thanks! It's just for me, so it's not that bad. Today I shipped the pulp off with a friend to make crackers, so between the two of us we don't waste too much.

Yes, the cashew horchata is ridiculous. I blended (blent?) 1/3 cup raw cashew pieces with cinnamon and a tablespoon of raw agave. So good, and the fat really sits well at the end of the day.

    2. Sorry to derail, but I'd love to hear more about crackers made from the pulp; I am all veggie-burger'd out!

    3. hi!
we sorta use my green crackers as a base...

add the pulp, instead of the greens. make it taste good, then dehydrate. the pulp comes out a lot stringier than the green crackers, but still yummy. i usually add an onion for flavor, but the onion will make the crackers chewy instead of crunchy.

you could also save your pulp for stock.

  2. They look so pretty! I want to have the pineapple mint elixer immediately. I am still apprehensive when it comes to juicing so I think I will have to ease into, say, beet juice...

    1. the beet juice is not bad! it's a mix of beet, apple, carrot, beet greens, ginger and lemon juice. i just hate when it's pulpy--at all. but the juice is really nice, especially since the lemon brightens up the flavor.

  3. Oh, all of those juices sound so refreshing! I'm sure it takes work at the beginning to make all of them at once, but then how convenient later to just pull them out of the refrigerator. Since I don't enjoy cooked beets at all, I'm always amazed at how delicious they are juiced or grated. You wouldn't think the flavor would change so much just by cooking.

    1. it takes me about an hour in the morning to make all six, not bad. the cleanup is a little messy, and my counter looks like a vegetable crime scene, but it's worth it.

  4. I've been looking for a short-term juice regimen to use after I run my marathon in a few weeks, to sort of re-set my system (way too much carbo-loading going on). Thanks for the link to the BPC hack! I'll probably take my blender with me on the road so I can make some recovery juice to drink after my run, or at the very least, the cashew cinnamon milk. YUM.

  5. What pretty colors! I haven't juiced in so long. Ever since I got a Vitamix, I haven't gotten out the juicer again. This is a good reminder!

  6. If the juices taste anything like they look, juice day has got to be a good day!

    1. super good, but i only made it through three days. juice fasting while experiencing PMS = not the best situation.

  7. Holy Christ, not only do I wanna steal your juices, but I'd love to have those fingers, too! (The polish, not your actual fingers. I'm not a crazy person.) Hehehe...
