So the real reason I haven't been posting much, is because I am fervently working on recipes for what I hope will turn into a book--a compilation of vegan NOLA recipes to be exact. Would you rather have long lonely absences from me here, or is it better to post pictures of things I've been making, though I might not be able to provide a recipe? Lemme know. Especially now that the days are getting longer and lighter, and my camera is beginning to get use again.

I tidied up the stuffed cupcake/fondant recipe a little, so had one more go at these guys. I'm going on a cupcake break, but as soon as I'm up to it, I shall try them one more time, but with a tiny bit of cinnamon oil in the fondant...

ReplyDeleteBest news ever!!! My husband is from Slidell and uses your recipe to educate Texans about king cakes every year. Your book will be awesome - please ignore as many blogs as necessary to make it happen! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you should tease us with your pornz!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the book (about bloody time!)
A book! How exciting!
ReplyDeleteI vote for photos, please!
I, too, would love to see what you're working on, even if there aren't recipes to share. I'm really excited that you're doing this!
ReplyDeleteHigh five. Share photos. The suspense is delicious.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for your book! (And I'd love to test recipes for you, too!) Oh, and I'll be heading to NOLA next weekend with your vegan guide in hand.

ReplyDeleteit's always a pleasure to see you've posted again - good luck with your book, if it's anything like papa tofu i'll need to get myself a copy. I seriously use that zine ALL the time, even at my job as a cake cook for a cafe. it's so gooood!
ReplyDeletePhotos pleeeease. I miss you when you don't post and sometimes scroll past your blog's name in my RSS feed list and think, "Where's Kittee?"

ReplyDeleteAdd another vote for photos now, recipes later. I'm excited for your book as well. Those cupcakes are lovely.
ReplyDeleteCinnamon oil in the fondant? Swooning. Cupcakes are the bees knees.
ReplyDeletePost now so we can all drool and dream about the day your cookbook is ready. Papa Tofu is mighty lonely and looking for a companion.
ReplyDeleteI <3 U, Kittee. And U sew, 2.
ReplyDeleteYou are the master of crazy cupcakes! xo.
ReplyDeleteYou make me want cupcakes. I've had little success de-glutenizing my old recipes, though I have found that chocolate works better than vanilla. I want to try your recipe and sub some high fiber and protein flours for the oat.
ReplyDeleteAlso I agree with everybody else: post your photos!
Another vote for photos now, recipes when I get your book!
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, photos please! :-) Can't wait for the book!
